Presenting a stunning vintage Australian Pottery wall plate produced and signed by Vande.
This exceptional example has been beautifully decorated with a hand painted design depicting an Aboriginal man in a romanticised Australian landscape. The scantily clad Indigenous man is captured holding his spear as he peers of into the distance while seated upon the sun-burnt earth. Native gum trees set before a sunset lit mountain range perfectly balance the masterfully executed art work.
SIZE: This impressive piece measures approx 190mms in diameter.
CONDITION: This superb piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is light overall crazing as is to be expected with a piece of this vintage but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for and presents beautifully.
MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base with hand brushed lettering "Vande AM Australia" along with a hand written catalogue number 110/12/6. The remnants of a David Jones label remain upon the base.
