Sinar 4x5" rear standard (bearer) P has parallel shifts, swings and tilts. It is in still good working
and normal used cosmetic condition with some signs of wear. All three levels are full and work.
The P is Sinar's one of the best conventional view cameras. It is a pleasure to operate and
is a work of art in its own right. Each tilt and swing movement is on a carefully chosen
asymmetrical axis. This ingenious design permits rapid and reliable alignment of each
plane of the camera with exact precision and minimal readjustments. Scales on the front
and rear standards indicate every setting. In addition, each movement is micrometer-driven,
another reason why Sinar is the view camera that most serious photographers aspire to own.

PLEASE REMEMBER: IF YOU MOVE TILT AND SWING KNOBS FOR MORE, THAN 3-4, MAXIMUM
5 DEGREES FROM ZERO POSITION YOU DO SOMETHING WRONG. DO NOT TRY TO MOVE TILT
AND SWING UP TO THE END, BECAUSE THE END OF THE GEARS BREAKING FIRST AND FAST.
FIVE DEGREES IS MAXIMUM WHAT YOU NEED FOR ANY JOB.

VERY EASILY. BE VERY GENTLE AND ROTATE ALL KNOBS VERY SLOWLY, IF YOU DON'T WANT

When I completely tested this standard, I've heard once double click
in the gear. It means one acrylic tooth on the tilt does not connect
properly to the metal standard gear. It's not a big deal and if you slightly push the upper part of the standard, it goes back and forth smoothly and
without a problem. This is only one issue I found in the item.
