A superb and rare photo of the very new 1979 Chevrolet Corvette C3 , as professionally photographed for its introduction in the new model year 1979. According the spec. sheet that came with the negative, this image was made on January 14, 1979. The Chevrolet Corvette C3 was the third generation Corvette, patterned after Chevrolet's "Mako Shark II" (designed by Larry Shinoda). Production started in 1968 and ended in 1982.
