This album takes a historical look at some of the styles and lesser-known piano players of the 1927-32 era.  There is a detailed historical write-up on the back of the cover (see photos for excerpts).  Players include Meade Lux Lewis, Wesley Wallace, Blind Leroy Garnett, Cripple Clarence Lofton, Will Ezell, Charlie Spand, Jabo Williams, Cow Cow Davenport, Henry Brown, and Charles Avery.

These 14 songs are taken from 78s, and you can hear that 78 hissy sound in some of these songs.  Generally, the fidelity is low.
