Large super bright 25.10 CTS faceted natural golden rutile quartz gemstone originating from Mozambique. This measures approximately 20.6 x 19.2 x 13.6 mm and is cut into a pear shape.

There is a huge array of intense bright golden rutile strands within the stone. The internal mineral reflects light very effectively with excellent optical effects.

The gem is fully transparent and has great clarity. There is obvious natural inclusions and variations as typical with all rutile quartz. The rutile mineral itself is technically considered a flaw, although a highly beautiful and desirable type. This is a great example of how a "flaw" can enhance the natural appearance of a gemstone.arge super bright 25.10 CTS faceted natural golden rutile quartz gemstone originating from Mozambique. Rutile quartz is an interesting gemstone. The rutile mineral inside the quartz has a higher refractive index than even diamond, and the luster and shine is beautiful to behold. Rutile used to be more common, but now it is becoming increasingly rare, especially in a faceted form rather than simple cabochon style.
