Huge and interesting 63.25 CTS faceted natural rutilated Quartz gemstone originating from Mozambique. This measures approximately 26.4 x 22.6 x 17.3 mm and is cut into an oval shape.

In our store we usually only carry golden rutile Quartz stones. This stone has both golden and red rutile strands for a highly interesting and unique optical display. The rutile mineral is highly reflective and illuminated with bright shimmering "tubes" from both the red and gold rutile.

The gem is fully transparent and has very good clarity, but has natural flaws and inclusions as is the case with rutile Quartz. The rutile mineral itself is technically considered to be a flaw, although a highly desirable and beautiful one. This is a great example of how a natural "flaw" can enhance the desirability and appearance of a stone.
