DESCRIPTION

A fascinating travelogue detailing the journey of Hughes Le Roux through Abyssinia, or modern day Ethiopia, particularly Djibouti and Addis Adaba. 

In the original French. 

Hughes Le Roux was a French journalist and writer who mostly wrote about travel and the French colonies. 

Including an illustrated title page, three illustrated plates (two of which are in colour), and a folding map to the rear, along with numerous in-text illustrations. 

Collated and complete. 

Containing the bookplate of one Clinton E. Geiser to the front pastedown.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original half morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart, with shelf wear to the boards and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Spine is slightly faded. Containing the bookplate of one Clinton E. Geiser to the front pastedown. Internally, front hinge is very tender, and rear hinge is slightly strained. Pages are bright and clean.
