Issue Notice:
- Sal Tree is related to the events of the Buddha's birth, enlightenment and death.
- He was born under the Sal tree and sat under the shade before attaining enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.
- He later passed away under a pair of Sal trees. Dok Montarop in the Buddha's time was said to be
a celestial flower from heaven. It appears only when Lord Buddha entered his mother's womb,
when he was born, attained enlightenment, performed miracles and later on until his passing. - The angels blessed these flowers to fall onto the human world. Jig (Mukhalind) and Ket (Rajayatana)
flowers also appeared when the Buddha attained enlightenment to become Lord Buddha. - He sat down and enjoyed bliss (happiness from liberation) under the shade of 4 different types of trees.
- Each tree for 7 days includes Bodhi tree. Banyan tree, Mughalin tree (Jig) and Rajatana (Ket) tree.
