Sri Lanka issued a circular stamp to mark the world record set by Muttiah Muralidharan on 03 December 2007 in becoming the highest wicket taker (710 wickets) in Test Cricket. He beat Australian Shane Warne’s record of 708 wickets.
This is the first time a circular stamp is issued in Sri Lankan history.
The stamp is of a denomination of Rs 5 with a circular design denoting the cricket ball.
