For sale is a fine souvenir spoon for Washington’s
Headquarters in Plainfield, New Jersey in the NO. 45 pattern by Wallace,
introduced in 1910. The spoon is 5 1/2 inches
long and weighs 16 grams. The bowl is
gilded and has an engraved view of “WASHINGTONS HEADQUARTERS / PLAINFIELD N.J.”. It is marked “45” with the Wallace trademark
and “STERLING”. It is monogrammed “W” in
a wreath on the handle front.
Condition on the spoon is fairly good. It has a mottled surface, and there is normal
wear from use. An unusual old souvenir
spoon!
