Offered is this lovely relish
bowl or pickle dish made in Limoges, France, by Tressemann and Vogt about 1907.
This fine porcelain china is decorated with a wide border design of pink roses
with blue blossoms and green foliage.
The floral decoration encircles
the rim which has been glazed with a pale ivory band with a pearl finish.
The outside edge is
trimmed with a red and goldenrod border design, then gold.
Based on some of the back marks, this set was made to order for Sterns Brothers of New York.
The relish tray measures
9 inches long (23 cm) and 5 inches wide (12.5 cm).
This dish is in very
good condition for its years. There is an underside chip on the base (see
photos). The chip is invisible unless you turn the bowl upside down. Otherwise
no chips, cracks or scratches. Gold trim in very good condition.
This piece is part of a
very large set of this china pattern, all purchased from the same estate. More
items will be listed as time allows.
The last photo shows
