Vintage Art Deco Round Bakelite “Ferranti” Electric Mantel Clock
This is a vintage English art deco “Ferranti” electric mantel clock.
13.5 cm high, 14 cm wide and 7 cm deep
It would look lovely in any room and also be great in a modern home
It has an art deco bakelite body with classic banding decoration and round base feature.
The bakelite is a warm walnut brown in colour and is in generally excellent condition.
The face is circular in shape with a white background, black numerals and black coloured hands.
The face is protected by a convex glass window with an aluminium bezel.
The glass is in excellent clean condition with just one scratch that looks like a hair in the pictures.
The bakelite has one nibble on the edge at the back and wear on the base where it has sat on a shelf.
I'm no electrician and it currently does not work, but there is no reason why a battery mechanism could not be used or you could spend time getting it back to the original electrical working order
