Honister Pass To Buttermere 1944 Vintage Print from a disbound book about Britain dated 1944, the reverse side has an unrelated picture.

Honister Hause, to give it its Cumberland name, runs from Borrowdale to the south-east end of the lovely little lake of Buttermere, here seen in the far distance. The pass, the highest point of which is 1,190 feet above sea-level, is on the south-east side of the Honister crag, famed for its slate quarries.

Suitable for framing, the average picture size is approx 7.375" x 9.625" or 18.5cm x 24.5cm, actual page size inc border and text approx 8.5" x 11". Border on one side can be very narrow, please view scans.

This is a vintage print, printed on magazine style paper not a modern copy and does show signs of age or previous use commensurate with the age of the print with possible light creases, marks or foxing. The date given of 1944 is the printing date, the actual date of creation can be earlier.
