Artists and Engravers: Cornelis Martinus Spanoghe (1758-1829), was a Flemish (Belgium) publisher, printer, poet and political writer born in Doel. Many of the plates in this work are engraved by Philippus Galle (1537-1612), Theodorus Galle (1571-1633) or Joannes Galle (1600-1676), all reknown Flemish engravers.
