This sweet, 19", doll is "Little Bo-Peep" from Mary Waterman Phillips of Atlanta, Georgia who was the designed behind the dolls marketed under the name Mawaphil. After her marriage to William Wight Rushton, the company name became The Rushton Co. She has beautiful blue eyes with inset eyelashes, sweetly shaped mouth, blushed cheeks and thick blonde hair with ribbon beneath her matching ruffled and lace-trimmed pink bonnet with large face-framing brim. She wears all her original matching undies including long ruffled pantalettes, petticoat and socks with pink trim. By the early 1930s she was also making mask-faced dolls with a distinctive look. She is circa 1940s and originally dressed along with her adorable, wooly sheep with brown glass eyes and neck ribbon. Very good, clean condition with slight wrinkling of her dress from storage. No holes or tears and no repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. (loc 24)
