In addition to a wide variety of tones ported from the world-renowned flagship synthesizer "MOTIF series," Yamaha's advanced technology has been used to create newly sampled percussion and a total of 1,277 ready-to-use effect sounds.
The wide range of sounds includes not only digital sounds, but also DJ sounds, percussion, chromatic percussion and other scale instruments, ethnic instruments, acoustic drums, and more.
Audio data (WAV/AIFF format) loaded from a USB storage device can also be used as part of the sound.
The DTX-MULTI 12 is equipped with a FLASH ROM, allowing audio and MIDI data to be stored in the DTX-MULTI 12 itself.
In addition to reverb and chorus, the DTX-MULTI 12 is equipped with one variation effect system that produces a variety of tone changes.

Efficient music production through connection to a PC
In addition to MIDI IN/OUT, a USB TO HOST terminal that can be connected to a computer with a single USB cable (sold separately) and a USB TO DEVICE terminal that can store performance data on a USB storage medium are provided. The DTX-MULTI12 can be used for various purposes, such as inputting MIDI data directly into DAW software for those who are not good at playing the keyboard, or playing soft synthesizers installed on a computer by tapping the DTX-MULTI12.
The DTX-MULTI12 comes bundled with Steinberg's Cubase AI 5 DAW software. This bundled software allows users to not only correct the pitch and rhythm of MIDI data input from the DTX-MULTI12, but also to create more detailed music from the day of purchase.
By installing the "DTX-MULTI 12 Extension," you can control Cubase AI 5 directly from the main unit panel. This dramatically improves the efficiency of music production.

Expandable with DTX-PAD or RHH135
Equipped with five trigger connection jacks for connecting pads (sold separately), a footswitch, and one hi-hat controller connection jack each.
In addition to connecting a hi-hat controller (HH65, etc.) and a kick pad (KP65, etc.) to use it as a compact drum, you can switch drum kits and phrase patterns by stepping on the footswitch (FC4), control volume and effect values with the foot controller (FC7/FC9) in real time, and use it as a drum trigger. The DTX-MULTI12 can be customized according to your needs, such as real-time control, or connecting a drum trigger (DT20, etc.) to convert an acoustic drum performance into a trigger signal.
