No, it’s not playing with •just the same old magnatiles•.

But, yes, it’s evolving ideas and how to use familiar tools in new and inventive ways while your peers progress developmentally.

This is a theatre show production put on by 4-5 year olds. There was a provocation, some “I know!☝🏽”, event planning, stage designing, role assigning, recruiting and marketing, story creation, character invention, audience etiquette, and so many other facets of this self-initiated classroom moment.

Child led learning doesn’t “spoil kids”, but it definitely empowers them to go really, really deep in these projects to learn far more than they would have if the teachers believed these were •just the same old magnatiles !
