Description: From the famous set of small huntingscenes . State: Only state. Ref: Bartsch 1087.

Artists and Engravers: Made by Antonio Tempesta after own design. Antonio Tempesta (ca. 1555-1630) was a Rome born artist, who specialised in etchings. His prints with hunting scenes, biblical matter etc. attracted great popularity in the early 17th. Century and were copied widely.

Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Annibal in bello captos confligere cogit inter se…', One of Hannibal's elephants fighting gladiators in a coliseum.

Condition: Good, no margins. Some browning and remnants of old hinges verso General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 14.4 x 9 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 5.7 x 3.5 inch.
