This is an original press photo. Yucca Flats, Nevada- Test Spot- Leo Woodruff, left, and Don Winchester, employed by the Atomic Energy Commission, point out the exact spot in the shot chamber where an atomic device would be placed for underground testing. The chamber is part of a vast underground system under construction at the Nevada Test Site at Yucca Flats, Nevada. ABC officials say they are building the underground system for any use deemed necessary if and when the administration decides to resume nuclear testing. Atomic Energy- Tests underground. Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 07-07-1961.
