Luminox F-117 Nighthawk GMT Gunmetal PVD Steel Black Dial Black kevlar Strap Date Divers Quartz Mens Watch Model# XA.6421 / XA6421.
The Lockheed Martin F-117 Nighthawk was the world’s first aircraft invisible to radar and with its unconventional design and series of carefully angled triangular panels, the inspiration behind this stealthy pilot's watch. This F-117 Nighthawk GMT features a 44 mm gunmetal PVD-plated stainless steel case with a black dial matched with white and luminescent obelisk-style hands and Arabic numerals in both 12- and 24-hour format. Tritium-based luminescent tubes called LLT's illuminate the watch thru its hands and around the chapter ring. This is complemented by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a bi-directional rotating bezel with a luminescent 24-hour scale and a date window at the 3 o'clock position. A bit of red contrast adorns the Luminox logo, GMT text and GMT hand. A black kevlar strap with a leather lining, secured by a black CARBONOX™ buckle, completes the tough and stealthy look. This watch has a screw in caseback with a detailed engraving of the F-117 Nighthawk and Lockheed Martin's logo wherein underneath lies a Ronda caliber 515.24H Swiss quartz movement and is water-resistant up to 200 meters/660 feet.

Founded in 1989 by American Barry Cohen who envisioned developing high-performance SPORTS watches combined with modern luminescence and legibility. Coined from the latin words, "Lumi" meaning light and "Nox" meaning night, Luminox watches are widely recognized for their tagline "Always Visible Technology" which is formally called "Luminox Light Technology" or "LLT". It uses a safe tritium-based luminescence tubes which can give a constant glow for up to 25 years. 1992 was the breakout year for Luminox as the Assistant Officer in Charge (AOIC) for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) for West Coast Navy Seals, Nick North, together with Barry Cohen, worked to develop a watch specifically for the Navy SEALs. This paved the way for Luminox watches to be made for the US Coast Guard, US Air Force and a variety of other special forces and EMS teams worldwide.
