TU-154 has not been in Ukraine for a long time.
Because
these planes, first of all, are uneconomical. Like all Soviet aircraft,
they were created at a time when aviation fuel was at the price of soda
water. And that's why they didn't pay much attention to the economy of
the plane. And in market conditions, the cost of fuel has become a very
important parameter.
And the
TU-154 aircraft we are talking about consumes several tens of tons of
fuel per flight, per flight. Therefore, these aircraft were
decommissioned in Ukraine mainly for economic reasons. And besides,
there were very few of them here in the Boryspil air force. It so
happened that these planes were mainly intended for medium distances.
Previously, they did not fly from Ukraine on medium distances.
