This piece of vintage jewelry is a necklace done in graduated red beads. I am not an expert on identifying the difference in howlite and turquoise but while I am calling them howlite to be safe, the following is why I think they may be genuine turquoise: beads are cold to the touch and have been tested with acetone, (swab comes away clean with no trace of dying). Beads measure from 12mm in the center to 6mm at the ends. The beads have been restrung on a nylon cord and have a lobster clasp.  Piece is in excellent condition. Comes in gift box.
