Queen Elizabeth ll , 2002 Golden Jubilee Porcelain Trinket Box

Magnificent Trinket Box - dimensions are ; 1 1/7" high , lid diameter is 1 13/16" bottom diameter is 1 5/8" box depth is 11/16" . Material is porcelain , enamel and gilt metal . She is gone now , but her life still influences the way we view things . Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll of England , Scotland , Wales , Northern Ireland and all Her other Realms and Territories . It is said among those who determine these things that she will be known as ' Elizabeth The Great ' . From February of 1952 until her death at the age of 96 in September of 2022 Elizabeth Alexandra Mary of the House of Windsor was the longest reigning Monarch England has ever had . She invited 14 Prime Ministers to serve her government during her life , the first being Sir Winston Churchill . Her life , as all of ours was filled with joys and sadnesses . As she said in a speech addressing the horrors of Americas 9/11 , "Grief is the price we pay for Love" . Not oblivious to the great fortune that befell her as an accident of birth , she had a wry and often sharply ironic sense of humor . Pondering her own mortality she observed , " I think that for me , heaven may be a bit of a let down " . In any event this 2002 Golden Jubilee Trinket Box is a little treasure . Emblazoned on the top of the lid is the Coat of Arms of The House of Windsor . The legend encircling the elaborately decorated round box simply reads - "To Celebrate The Golden Jubilee 1952 - 2002 Of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll " . The bottom is marked with the logo of the Golden Jubilee and 'The Royal Collection . This piece comes with the original box and Royal Collection protective paper . Distributed by 'THE ROYAL COLLECTION' which is an official arm of Buckingham Palace this memento of the woman and her long reign is now a reminder of a bygone age , - 'THE GREAT ELIZABETHAN AGE' .
