Description

The Type Zero waterborne observation aircraft (official name: Type Zero Observation Aircraft) was developed to replace the shipborne waterborne reconnaissance aircraft, which had previously performed reconnaissance and bombardment observation.

The requirements were to improve climb performance, combat performance, and speed performance.

The Type Zero observation plane, which beat out two other famous seaplane manufacturers, Aichi and Kawanishi, to be the official adopter, had a lean and sophisticated appearance, and although it was a biplane, its design did not look old-fashioned.

It was used for a wide variety of purposes, including patrol, reconnaissance, fleet escort, interception, and attack with small bombs against ships and other targets.

A total of about 1,000 aircraft were produced by 1944.

This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting.
