TM9-1808B ~ 3/4 Ton 4x4 & 1 1/2 Ton 6x6 Dodge ~ Power Train Chassis & Body Manual

This is a quality reprint of US Army Manual TM 9-1808B.  Originally published in November of 1943, it is one in a series of two main maintenance for the .75 Ton and 1.5 Ton, WC Dodge (TM9 1808A & TM9 1808B).  If you are doing your own work on your WC, this is a great manual to have!  234 Pages ~ 8.5x11 Format

 From the manual:

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE.

 a. The instructions contained in this manual are for the information and guidance of personnel charged with the maintenance and repair of Dodge 11/2 ton, 6 x 6 and 3/4 ton, 4 x 4 trucks. Information on the detailed construction of the unit, disassembly and assembly procedure, inspection, maintenance and repair is contained in two Technical Manuals of the 1000 series, of which this is the manual on the power train, chassis and body. These instructions are supplementary to those in the Field and Technical Manuals prepared for the using arms. This manual does not contain information which is intended primarily for the using arms, since such information is available to ordnance maintenance personnel in 100-series TM's or FM's.

 b. This manual (TM 9-1808B) contains a description of, and procedure for removal, disassembly, inspection, and repair of the units of power train, chassis and body.

The pictures are very usable and not washed out or too dark like many of the manuals I have seen that from copy machines.  This is laser printed on 24 pound paper.  Copy paper is generally 20 pound and you can feel the difference.  It is bound with GBC plastic combs so that it will lay flat.  If you would like I can, rather than bind with the plastic comb, three hole punch it for your binder.

If you are collecting military manuals or looking for a prop to display at your next show, this is not the manual you want.  If you want some usable information on the ¾ ton WC Series Dodge, that will lay flat on your bench when you are working on your pride and joy or some period information on how it was done back Sixty Five years ago while you curl up in front of the fire this winter, this is the one you need.
