The Andy Ross Orchestra – The Godfather (And Other Great Screen Themes) Soundtracks LP (1972)
Decent British 1st issue.
This was issued as a tie-in to the release of the Marlon Brando film the same year but does not feature the original Nino Rota score. However, this album contains interesting covers versions of movie soundtracks.
Condition
VINYL: VG-EX. Looks very clean on visual inspection. Just a few very faint scuffs and marks on each side. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is fantastic throughout. Run-in on side 1 is clear with minimal surface noise. Side 2 run-in more crackly and some surface noise through part of track 1. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A superb listen to some great cover versions of well-known themes.
OUTER SLEEVE (COVER): G. Colours are clear and unfaded. Few curved creases across front and in from sides. Sellotape reinforcement on top/bottom edges. Spine in great shape with just 1-2 creases. Aperture lightly nicked. Reverse has more damage/creases and wear but nothing major. Text readable and clear. Overall, a good example.
INNER SLEEVE: VG. Original CBS. Lime-green paper with curved corners and catalogue thumbnails. A few minor creases/folds through normal handling.
