Sayagaki is applied to this Katana that it was made by Soshu _MASAHIRO. However, the NBTHK examination results indicate that it was made by KANENORI.
KANENORI was a sword smith who survived around Eisho in the Muromachi period. Many of his works are from Koitame-hada where Jigane is very beautiful. Hamon specializes in Choji-midare and Gunome-midare.
This koshirae is Fuemaki-zaya, a very expensive saya with a special lacquer coating technique. Both Katana and Koshirae are very good and highly recommended.
