Presenting an exceptional vintage Australian Aboriginal Hermannsburg boomerang spectacularly decorated with hand painted artwork masterfully executed and signed by Henry Rubuntja circa 1940s.
This superb boomerang has been hand carved from native mulga wood and decorated with a hand painted scene featuring three kangaroos perfectly balanced with green foliage.
This exquisite example is beautifully signed by the Aranda Aboriginal artist "Henry Rubuntja", his signature featuring in pen beneath the artwork at each end of the boomerang.
SIZE: This impressive boomerang measures approx 390mms or 15.5 inches in length.
CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. This authentically vintage example has developed a pleasing mellow patina that only time can bring. The hand painted art work remains in fine condition with no major wear. There are a few rough spots to the edges of the wood noticeable only on extremely close examination by touch but mentioned for complete accuracy. This stunning example is near impossible to fault and presents magnificently.
