This is a sophisticated ultra-wideangle prime lens characterised by an improved shutter unit with flash sync available at all speeds. The optical design incorporates low-dispersion glass elements to reduce chromatic aberrations throughout the aperture range (from f/3.5 to f/32), in order to achieve incredible sharpness from corner to corner and a high degree of clarity and color fidelity in a variety of lighting conditions. The bright f/3.5 maximum aperture also benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and provides a bright viewfinder image for more intuitive use. This lens also employs a retro-focusing design for quick performance as well as consistent image quality throughout the focusing range from 50cm to infinity: in fact, distortion is remarkably low.
