This is a OEM GM Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor. This carb just came out of the estate of a long time hot rodder and has likely been in cool, dry storage for longer than it was ever on an engine. The part number is 7036201 which is stamped into the original aluminum tag that is pressed into the side of the carb. The 7036201 carb was used on the 1966 Chevrolet fullsize car(Impala) and Chevelle/El Camino with the 396/325HP engine backed by a manual transmission with CA SMOG equipment. This is a very rare and hard to find carb. Don't Miss It!
This carb is in very nice survivor condition as shown. It does not appear to have ever been rebuilt, repaired, or modified. It looks to be complete less a few small choke parts. The coloring of the original plating is very nice. All parts move freely. This is simply a very nice survivor carb. This carburetor has been in dry storage for decades and will certainly need rebuilding before it can be used. Don't miss this awesome survivor carburetor.
