For auction is a bond from the French importer, processer and manufacturer "La Soie de Compiegne", or The Silk Company. This firm imported silk primarily from Southeast Asia and South Africa and sold finished product to clothing manufacturers.

The bond, dated 1927, is for 100 French Francs. The total offering was 43,422,400 French Francs. It has attached 32 dividend payment coupons. It measures appx 13x18 inches and is printed on medium-weight paper. The bond is in good condition. All writing/markings are from its issuance and processing. There are 2 small 1/2 inch margin tears, one at the top and one on the right, but no other rips or tears. There are no punch holes, but it has a centerline fold.
