Among pearl aficionados, golden pearls are seldom seen and prized by collectors for this reason. Pearl grafting technicians carefully implant a sliver of the super golden mantle tissue which borders the perimeter of the Pinctada Maxima oyster along with the mother of pearl bead which initiates the formation of a pearl. It is the meticulous selection of the golden mantle tissue which allows this oyster to deliver a super-saturated vivid golden coloured pearl. The two pearls boast a 24K colour, a unit of measure for the fineness of golden pearls, the highest possible saturation. The pearls are perfectly round with excellent mirror-like luster, and in Tip-Top "AA+ to AAA quality"- except some extremely minor mottling due to very thick nacre and 1 minor pinpoint on one pearl which can easily be covered by any setting, the surface quality of the pair is very smooth (under 2% very minor flaws overall)- Highest Quality Guaranteed. HS Tips - Pearl Luster
Pearls should display a
deep, iridescent shine, or luster. Luster results from light reflecting off
layers and layers of tiny calcium carbonate crystals on the pearl's surface,
called nacre. Pearls with thicker and more even nacre have higher luster and
are therefore more valuable.
