For sale is a rare to find antique hand forged blacksmith made 18th century fireplace/hearth utensil/game hanging rack. It features a unique heart form central motif. Five hooks are hand hammered and attached with rivets. A curvy arch allows easy hanging and adds more esthetic appeal. All components are original and with no repair found. Excellent condition!

It is a larger example. It measures 19” wide, 10” tall. Each hook is about 2” in depth. The item is in great antique condition. All connections and links are hand hammered and remains secure. The item has minimal surface rust and is structurally stable. Age appropriate surface wears and imperfections are to be expected. Please study the pictures carefully before committing to buy.

Overall, this is a classical example that showcases the 1700s colonial American blacksmith craftsmanship. A great display item for collectors of early wrought iron antiquity /early Americana /primitive fireplace and hearth tool. It is easy to hang and you can certainly use it to hang your other antique treasures for an authentic primitive hearth display.
