Houdini Scotch and Soda by Zanadu - Trick

This is Wayne’s take on the classic Diary Card effect. As ever, he has routined it to be SUPER-SIMPLE to perform: NO STACKS – NO ARITHMETIC – NO MEMORIZING – NO CRIBS NO SLEIGHT OF HAND – ONLY ONE DIARY – INSTANT RESET Not only is it a strong effect, but the Houdini theme is intriguing and memorable. You offer to show them the trick Houdini claimed as his favorite card trick! It involves a vintage diary – and you managed to get hold of one of Houdini’s original private diaries. As a man fascinated by the occult, Houdini liked to write the name of a playing card against every day in the diary, in the belief that particular cards had resonance with certain days of the year. The spectator calls out any date in the year that means something special to them: a genuine, free choice. When you spread the deck face down, every card is blue-backed except for one card – which is red-backed AND bears Houdini’s signature on the back! The spectator only now turns to the date and confirms that the cards for that week are all different. For the first time, they tell you the name of the card at that particular date. The amazing coincidence is that their chosen date was the very one that Houdini’s pet dog died; the single red card is now shown to be the very same card. You’ll love the antique diary and photograph Bob Gill designed and Alan Wong produced especially for this effect. But most of all, you’ll love Wayne’s very funny comedy presentation that is the making of this routine: one you’ll enjoy performing – every time you do it.

RETURN POLICY

The customer has the right to physically return the goods within 14 days of receipt (right of withdrawal), provided that the products are intact as received and so it can be sold again. Originally sealed packs, such as decks of playing cards, are not allowed as returnable if they are returned open. Explanations and instructions for magic tricks are obviously an essential part of the added value of every single item sold. For this reason, therefore, as a logical consequence, returns are not allowed after having obtained the relative “secrets” of the games’ tricks.

The shipping costs for the returned goods for the right to withdrawal are charged to the buyer as per current legislation.

The decks whose sealed has been removed or the deck has been opened can not be returned. The deck must be returned unopened and undamaged (original packaging).

The trick decks specially crafted by the magical manufacturers can not be returned, being bunches subject to particular wear as well as containing educational material related to explanations of tricks and games of prestige and relative peculiarities. The boxes of cards received damaged due to evident transport trauma can obviously be returned and then replaced, provided that they maintain the sealing and the relative cellophane intact proving that the damage was in transport and not for use. If the client, despite the evidence of transport damage, proceeds to open the decks of cards, agrees to keep the articles in any case, regardless of the status of the relative boxes and their contents.

It is also reiterated that for obvious reasons DVDs, articles with video and / or textual explanations and books, are not returnable because they can be copied and they are educational material in relation to explanations of “secrets” of magic tricks.

Exceptions are obviously provided only for replacement in the event of a defect in the eventual combined gimmick.
