This is a heavy pressed glass, art deco style, bullseye design, sundae glass (or could also be used as a small vase). When we saw this, we immediately thought of Modae Siren sundae glasses from the 1920s-30s that we carried several years ago. And, even though we could not find any identifying bottle marks on this piece, and our research coming up woefully lacking, we are going with our gut on this one, because it has all the factors making us believe that this is a piece from the 1940s or before. However, we cannot be absolutely certain about this; Therefore, if you know something about this piece, we would lover your insight. For this reason, we will stick with "vintage" and lean towards Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG), with an estimated time period of the 1940s. It looks the shape of a sundae glass, but we saw similar shapes in our research that were clearly small vases; So, this piece has the ability to morph into whatever you desire. It has 6 amazing 3-D raised circles (bullseyes) going around the upper middle on each of the scalloped panels that curves upward and outward. It has one wafer on top of the geometrically outward sloping heavy pedestal base. Very art deco in the overall appearance. This is in very good condition. It has several sections near the top of one scallop that have tiny micro bubbles inside the glass; from the photos these bubbles appear to be wear scratches, but they are actually tiny bubbles inside the glass; Along the top edge above the tiny bubbles, there is one small section on the edge that seems as though it originally was an imperfection, but has since encountered a small altercation because it feels rough to the touch. So, even though this section isn't initially even noticed (unless you are zoomed in), when you run your fingers around the top, you will find it. Otherwise this piece is in very good condition, with no other chips, cracks, or breaks, and minimal wear/scratches to the glass, especially considering what we believe to be the approximate age of this piece. The art deco style with the bullseye design is definitely what is the unmistakable stand-out that you are going to love about this piece. It stands approximately 7 inches tall, and is about 4 1/4 inches wide, and weighs over a pound, which is why we give this a "heavy" glass description.
