Up for bid is an early Victorian coin silver preserve spoon in
a bright-cut pattern, almost certainly by W. Faber & Sons of Philadelphia.
The server is 7 1/4 inches long and weighs 30 grams. It has a shell-form bowl and an upturned shaped
handle with bright-cut engraving on the front.
It has a fancy entwined “VHC” monogram on the handle front. The piece is
marked “COIN”.
Condition on the server is fair. There are some dents and a black spot in the
bowl. Otherwise there are just normal
signs of use. Still an attractive old
serving piece!
