Synopsis :
In 2010, producer Morishita Kozo launched the Buddha animation project, a three-part adaptation of Tezuka Osamu's manga series about Siddhartha Gautama (who later becomes Buddha). Two and half years after The Great Departure, Siddhartha's quest for answers about life and spirituality continues in The Endless Journey. Like the first film, the second installment of the series follows Siddhartha (voiced by Matsuyama Kenichi) and a second character that will cross paths with him. As Siddhartha and his companions lament the cause of human suffering in the world, a young prince of the Kosala Kingdom develops intense hatred for Siddhartha and his Shakya Kingdom after learning the truth behind his birth.
