This is a pre-owned 59T 4090 "Therm-O-Disc" Brand (American Made, Not the Chinese Import) lower element thermostat for a dual element residential 20 - 80 gallon, 240 volt electric water heater. This is the same as the Eastman 60170N thermostat. This thermostat was removed from a water heater with a leaking water tank and has been bench tested for function and accuracy by our in-house Texas State Licensed Master Plumber with over 55 years of experience working on water heaters and was found to be functioning as intended by the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and to be accurate in the temperature response mode. The temperature setting is adjustable to the user's desired water temperature.
