The set is 75 years old. I took them out of a house I owned that was built in 1948. These are very pretty, but have faults. The faces are pretty with no chips or cracks, but each knob has chips on the side. The last 5 enlarged pictures show the chips, the first knob has a chip near the top under one of the points, the 1st two magnified pictures show it at different angles, it also has a couple of tiny smooth flaws on the side that are not very noticeable. The other knob has 2 small chips near the top by a point, the next two pictures show this at a different angle, & a tiny flaw in the last picture. Please note the aluminum rod is not completely straight it has a slight bend. Also I can not remove one of the glass knobs from the rod. I can remove the other one, & also the one that is single.
The single glass knob on the spindle is very nice, it does have a small 1/4" scratch on the face, & the knob has a slight wiggle, but I do not believe that this will make a difference if you use this in a door, it it should still work . All three knobs are mounted in brass collars. The set has both set screws, but the single does not have a set screw. The set has matching knobs, the single is a different color of glass.
