For sale is an antique Southeast Asian inlaid bronze betel nut box.  The box is 7 1/2 inches long, 3 3/4 inches deep and stands 3 1/2 inches tall. The hinged lid has an inlaid pattern of lighter-color metal and a molded edge.  The ends have both wide ring handles and standard bail handles as shown.  The foot has a molded band which matches the lid, and the base is slightly recessed.  The interior is empty; it likely had a fitted interior originally.  There are no marks.

Condition on the box is fair.  The fitted interior is missing, as noted.  The lid is only partly polished, so it appears dull at one end.  It has all the expected dings, scratches and other signs of heavy use. Regardless, an interesting authentic betel nut box!
