BOY on ROCK
Royal Copenhagen Figurine 2670-520 featuring a young boy sitting on a rock and rolling up the legs of his pants in preparation for playing along the edge of the shore. (This figurine is also known as “Pad About”.) Part of the Royal White Collection, which used the molds from older figurines and recreated them in a modern all-white version. The 2670- prefix to the figurine number indicates that it is part of the Royal White Collection. In production for 2 or 3 years only and discontinued in 2010. The US Retail Price in 2008 (MSRP) was $350. My price represents more than a 85% discount off the 2008 Retail Price.
The figurine is pure white glazed porcelain (blanc de chine). I have slightly darkened the photos to bring out the sculptural details. This figurine bears the standard Royal Copenhagen marks, including the three wavy blue line trademark of Royal Copenhagen and the figurine number 520. Nicely detailed in the venerable Royal Copenhagen tradition. Just under 8 inches tall (20 cm).
Because this was in production for such a short time, very few were produced, and they are seldom seen on the secondary market. No others currently listed on eBay.
