This lot is for a NICE 1877s Trade SILVER US Dollar Coin known as an "Opium Dollar" (inv. code #awi). These were made back in the 1800's to smuggle Opium &/or other things!, they are hollowed out with a hinge so you can hide stuff INSIDE the Coin !! Nice Coin that appears seamless on both sides & edges so it was probably well used to smuggle stuff back in the 1800's. Well made & it opens perfectly. We think this coin has very nice eye appeal for age & condition but since this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION or Buy It Now please see photo's & judge for yourself. This lot will make a very nice addition to any collection !.
