Long Edwardian Liberty & Co., London/Paris rose colored wool evening cloak or cape, trimmed with a wide 3.5" woven floral trim band of wreaths of roses and intertwined swags. The trim is attached down the center front and over the shoulders accenting the opening. With a sweeping curved hem in the front, secured with two covered buttons with a loop braided robe fasteners. The back is secured with a metal ring and finished at the hem with a large silk thread tassel forming a hood, and features a draped section at the center back that is held in place with a metal ring sewn at the center back neck. No Lining. Dates from 1900 to 1910

CONDITION
Overall very good condition. Scattered storage spots on trim only, no fading, no holes or repairs. With some small minor open seams where the trim is attached to the cape and the fabric has slightly stretched open at the back neck where the metal ring is attached.
Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
