VICTORIAN LADIES BONNET HATS, 1870 – 1890s, LOT OF 4

Four ladies Victorian bonnet hats. These 4 bonnets are trimmed with cloth flowers or feathers or ribbon arrangements, velvet ribbon or grosgrain chin streamer ties. These hats were worn on top of the head and would have been held in place with hat pins and chin ties. These early hats are in very good sturdy condition for their age, with minor age related conditions. Millinery flowers in very good condition. All hats in original condition no alterations. A great addition to one's hat collection and in wearable condition.

UPPER LEFT BONNET ON HAT STAND
A woven black straw ladies 1870s bonnet, with a gathered adjustable brown polish cotton inner lining, trimmed with black feathers and black cloth flowers. Black grosgrain ribbon band with long chin streamer ties.

CONDITION
The hat is in overall very good structural condition. No repairs, no holes, no fading of material, no stain damage. No damage to straw. Some fabric splitting of millinery ribbon. Small area of detachment of chin streamer to hat, an easy fix. Good Wearable condition.

UPPER RIGHT BONNET ON HAT STAND
A 1870s dark blue velvet ladies hat with brown velvet edging. Adorned with feathers, black Chantilly net lace, black velvet satin ribbon bows and beads on wire. Supported by inner wires. Inside lining is a brown chintz lining with dark blue velvet. Black chin streamer ties. This hat was worn at the back of the head and would have been held in place with hat pins and chin ties.

CONDITION
The hat is in good structural condition. No holes, no repairs. Beads on wire need to be straightened out and with some loss of beads. Good wearable condition.

LOWER LEFT BONNET ON HAT STAND
A 1880 black ladies bonnet with black taffeta over wire for shape and form. Decorated with a pleating arrangements, black Chantilly lace at lower edge and large bow on top. No lining. This hat was worn at the back of the head of the head and would have been held in place with hat pins. No chin ties

CONDITION
The hat is in good structural condition. Has one area on inside lining that has split fabric, and goes through to front with a small hole. No repairs, no fading of material. Good wearable condition.

Interior top to bottom inside opening approx. 9”
Interior side to side approx. 7”.

LOWER RIGHT BONNET ON HAT STAND
A lovely ladies 1890s black woven weaved straw bonnet wired for shape and trimmed with cloth millinery flowers, and black satin bows. Inner brown chintz lining is gathered.

CONDITION
The hat is in overall very good structural condition. No repairs, no holes, no fading of material, no fading, no stain damage. No damage to straw. Could use a refresh to shape to flowers. Chin streamers are in poor shape and missing. Good Wearable condition.
