Introducing a Timeless Treasure: Antique Alt Beck Gottschalk
Bisque Doll
Step back in time to 1912 and embrace the beauty of this
exquisite Alt Beck Gottschalk Bisque doll. Standing tall at 21 inches on her
antique composition body, she is a true masterpiece of the past, dressed in an
enchanting antique reproduction costume, complete with a delicate lacy parasol
(stand shown is not included).
**Breathtaking Bisque Beauty**: This doll boasts a bisque
head that has gracefully withstood the test of time, free from any hairlines or
repairs. Her eyes, with their mesmerizing gaze, swing freely and remain in
decent condition when closed, with only a slight thinning of eyelashes on her
left eye. Framed by a cascade of a 100% human hair wig, her face exhibits
exquisite painting, featuring finely stroked eyebrows, delicate lower
eyelashes, naturally adorned upper eyelashes and eyelids, and a captivating set
of teeth showcased in her open mouth. Her face is adorned with subtle accents
at the corners of her eyes and nose, along with a charming blush on her cheeks. In her pierced ears are faux pearl drop earrings.
**Elegant Ensemble**: This doll's costume is a testament to
the artistry of the era. She wears a sleeveless dropped waist dress, adorned
with intricate knife pleats and shirring across the bodice. Her lace-edged
jacket can be displayed gracefully on or off her shoulders, and crowning her
head is a matching lace-edged bonnet, delicately tied beneath her chin. A
silver-toned butterfly on a ribbon graces her neck, and her lace parasol can be
secured to her dainty hands with a complementary ribbon. Underneath her radiant
rose costume, she's dressed in a lace-edged dropped waist slip over lace-edged
pantaloons, lacy over-the-knee stockings, and ankle-high soft leatherette
side-buttoned boots. She's the epitome of a well-dressed young lady, ready for
a leisurely stroll in the park.
**History of Elegance**: This doll bears the maker's marks
ABG 1362 Made in Germany 3, incised on her back neck below the hairline and according to history is known as the My Girlie doll mold. A
testament to her heritage, she hails from the renowned Porzellanfabrik von Alt,
also known as ABG. Founded by Gottlieb Beck and Theodor Gottschalck and later
joined by Friedrich Alt and Christian Ernst Reinhold in 1881, this esteemed
company was nestled near Ohrdruf, Stutz Haus, Germany. ABG dedicated itself to
crafting antique child bisque socket head dolls from 1854 to around 1941.
Don't miss your chance to own this remarkable piece of
history. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a novice enthusiast, this Alt
Beck Gottschalk Bisque doll is a timeless treasure that will bring joy for
generations to come. Embrace the past and make her a cherished addition to your
collection today.
The stand shown in the photos is for show only and does not come with

Ask pointed questions and ask for additional
photos before bidding or purchasing. As is normal with antiques more than 100
years old, there may be wear, tear or hidden damage/issues which I am not aware
of. Any errors or omissions are unintentional and are based on my personal research
and knowledge. All antique items and antique dolls are being sold strictly as
pictured, as videotaped, and as found.
See the Photos and the Video (if available);
they are an essential part of the description.

If there is any damage during transit, keep the packing/packages,
take photos (i.e., package, item damage) and immediately contact me and the
carrier (i.e., USPS or UPS) for assistance.
Beginning immediately, especially for items shipped
internationally, I will be packing all loose items (e.g., dolly/bears, bonnets,
hangtag/COA, etc.) in zip lock bags and taping those to the interior of the box.
Each product listing will include an inventory of accessories or papers as a
part of each listing (see “Set Includes” under “Item Specifics”). I will also
take photos of all items boxed, just before I ship.
All packages are actively tracked to assure they arrive within the
timeline we have agreed upon as part of each listing and I will frequently
reach out with any updates.
Note to International Buyers:
International Shipping is offered exclusively through the eBay
Global Shipping Program (GSP).
eBay GSP collects VAT where applicable prior to shipping but you
are still responsible for any other fees or taxes applied by your country, and
you will be invoiced by eBay GSP for any of these costs prior to check-out. If
you do not want to purchase the item due to “excessive” costs DO NOT complete
the purchase. These costs are not under our shop’s control and are not
refundable.
If a purchase goes through the GSP, there is a possibility of the
box being opened for inspection by the GSP Staff and/or by US Customs. This is
not something we control not can we anticipate it. The timeline for receipt of
your purchase when moving through International Shipping can vary. Our shop can
tell how long it will take to get to the nearest international hub but not how
long it will take to move out of the hub and be on its way to you. Monitor eBay tracking using your purchase
account. eBay GSP will provide you with
a projected date for receipt just as you would receive if you were within the continental
US.
When you receive your purchase, if there are items missing from
the inventory of accessories or papers noted in each listing (see “Set Includes”
under “Item Specifics”), contact me immediately for resolution and next steps. This
may include a Full Refund and return of the item to the GSP Hub. Do not ask for
a partial refund as that is against the GSP and eBay rules!
Purchasing Vintage & Antique Items from Us
Please note that much of our inventory comes from
auctions, estate sales, and the odd flea market. These items therefore
are being sold as-is and as stated in each listing. We are not
experts in all things antique or vintage, and, sad to say, we don't know the
history of most of the items we sell. Remember too Antique Items are more
than 100 years old and Vintage Items are anywhere between 22 years old to 99
years old. Sometimes age creates
issues which we can’t control.
Best Advice: Read carefully, look over every photo, ask
questions and request more photos or more details about an item’s condition to
satisfy yourself that you are purchasing a product you can be proud of and
thoroughly enjoy. We take pride in
providing you with up to 24 full color photos, a 30-45 sec video on a turn
table and a detailed description of the item you will receive.
