Harper's Weekly, 1857-1912, published over 75,000 illustrations, portraits and cartoons, featuring drawings by Frederic Remington, Winslow Homer and Thomas Nast to name a few.  It was the most significant newspaper printed during the Civil War, featuring in-depth stories on the events and people of the war.   Harper's Weekly is famous for its incredibly stunning illustrations, chronicling the War as it evolved.  Serious students of the Civil War use Harper's as their definitive source for research and documentation.

So much original Civil War memorabilia is disappearing as collectors are acquiring the last of a limited supply.  Authentic antique prints like the one offered for auction are becoming scarce.  Framed, these historic prints make wonderful gifts and look beautiful in homes and offices, private studies as well as public places.
