These were our grapes that we grew this summer in our London garden.
We have finished eating as many as we could and are now cutting the bunches and will start to bottle our wine today 13/10 and I now have plenty of these seeds left over for anyone who would like to buy as it’s a shame to throw them away.
Depending when you buy -as they are available all year every year-you will get the most recent seeds from that years harvest as we always have the seeds and pulp every year when we harvest our grapes every October and as it’s a shame to throw away I keep them for anyone who would like to grow their own grapes so I’m doing my bit in recycling and helping the environment.
They need a winter to stratify and break germination in spring so best time to sow outside is from October. If you miss this window you may put in fridge for 3-4 months then sow.
Photos are mine
So if anyone would like to grow your own grapes from seed and who has patience I will be happy to sell some as too many for us. So hope to share. I also sell cuttings when we prune our vines every Dec-March if you would prefer an unrooted dormant cutting. See other listings.
Uk Winter hardy variety
Obviously have pips
Medium to large bunches and grapes
Dark purple red juice
Pop easily
Very juicy
Heavy cropping mother vine
We have been growing these vines for about 12 years in our London garden.
They always produce lots of bunches
But heavy rain in last few weeks and frost in spring reduced amount of crop but still happy with our 16 bottles of this variety.
They are for making wine but nice to eat too
Ripen and are ready to cut beginning to mid October
Juicy
The perfect grape for making wine
We began cutting them on 8/10
Nice matured seeds ready to plant.
They will take time to germinate and in spring the tiny shoots will appear
I also have many other grape varieties and will list others too, I have merlot, Sauvignon, Pinot noir, trollinger Humber and many more. Please see other listings.
I will also list UnRooted cuttings that are available from December/January if you would like to buy an Unrooted cane cutting stem and grow that way instead when we prune this vine.
Success in germinating seeds successfully is buyers responsibility and I can not be held responsible as numerous factors need to be taken into consideration which are out of my control.
