This 43+ year old vintage, full-color Art Print, The Bourke Parrot and Swift Parrot, is from a renowned Neville Cayley painting collection, featuring Australian Parrots and Cockatoos.  Plate 22.

The Bourke Parrot (Neophema Bourki) is also known as a Night parrot or the Sundown parrot, Bourke Grass parakeet.

The Swift Parrot (Lathamus Discolor) is also called the Red-shouldered parakeet the Swift lorikeet and the Swift-flying parrot.

Neville William Cayley was a celebrated Australian author, artist and ornithologist.  He produced Australia's first comprehensive bird field guide What Bird is That?  In 1960 it was rated the all-time best seller in Australian natural history and remains a classic birding reference to this day.  Cayley was the chief painter of Australian birds. His most distinctive and influential work was done through the medium of books.
