EBC HPSR brake disc, rigid version. MADE IN UK.

The aim of the development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses low carbon HPSR steel which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. Furthermore, the entire surface is protected by a 3 micron thick zinc coating, which wears off in the contact area of ​​the brake pads as soon as the brakes are applied. Only in this area can light Flash rust form with a longer service life.

The brake discs are drilled in a birdcage design in order to get by with as few holes as possible and at the same time optimize the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the less wear.
