May be WW1 Officers Trunk / Cabin Trunk
Made by W.Insall - Brass makers plaques to ends .
Makers label to inner lid - Wm Insall & Sons . Bristol ( William?)
In pretty good used order - a little squashed at base end corners.
The wooden runners on base are riddled with woodworm - may need removing and replacing.
Front Leather straps both ends have been cut off .
Retains Brass catch under wide Leather tab - leather embossed with makers name Insall Maker Bristol ? ( leather creased )
Retains thick carrying handles to both ends
Has some old labels on end .
Inner needs sweeping out .
Brackets to inner suggest this may have had an inner tray
May need a wipe over
Leather could be polished
Some age related wear and rubbing but in pretty good shape for 100 + years old
May great Stage or Film prop
